His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received The US Ambassador Matthew H. Tueller, they reviewed the developments of events and the position of the Iraqi government.
His Excellency Prime Minister confirmed the need for joint action to implement the withdrawal of foreign forces in accordance with the decision of the Iraqi parliament and to put relations with the United States on sound foundations, stressing the seriousness of the current situation and its possible ramifications, Iraq is making all possible efforts to prevent the slide of an open war.
His Excellency Prime Minister pointed to the consistent policy pursued by the government to establish relations with all and not to enter into the policy of axes and that the strength of the Iraqi government is in the interest of everyone, His Excellency reaffirmed Iraq’s keenness that its relations be based on cooperation, mutual respect and preserving its security, stability and national sovereignty.
