His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received a phone call from U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo,
During the call, it's confirmed the following, the legal framework for the international coalition forces work, including the US forces operating in Iraq, whose task is to combat Daesh, training of Iraqi forces and the non-establishment of foreign bases, in according with Iraqi approvals.

They also discussed the latest developments in the fight against Daesh a long the border with neighboring Syria, the effects on Iraq, the importance of cooperation of all to compensate Iraq for its human and material losses in its war against Daesh in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations, Iraqi laws and international convention, In addition to discussing economic issues and enhancing Iraq's capabilities and independence.
