His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi said that Iraq is restoring its great role in its Arab and regional arena as a center and establishing relations of cooperation and friendship with all neighboring countries on the basis of participation and overcoming differences and mutual benefits. We greatly cherish our distinguished relations with Lebanon and its dear people.

This came during a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and his accompanying delegation.
The Speaker of the Lebanese parliament Nabih Berri said: "We are very pleased with the friendly relations and strong ties between our two countries and our peoples. We have confidence in Lebanese companies. We welcome Lebanese businessmen and investors to take advantage of the great opportunities to work in Iraq.

For his part, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said that Iraq is a great Lebanese symbol in the unity of its people and its victory over the oppressors and overcome the difficulties. We applaud his developed relations with the Arab and neighboring countries and the policy pursued by His Excellency Prime Minister of Iraq in establishing diverse and balanced relations with all, We hope that Iraq will strengthen its pivotal role in its environment, which will help to achieve stability and cooperation among the countries of the region, strengthen Iraq's internal front and strengthen its security and stability.

During the meeting, they reviewed the positive developments in the situation in the two countries, their efforts to achieve economic development, discussing opportunities for expanding relations, increasing economic, tourism, investment cooperation in the fields of trade exchange and all that benefits the two brotherly peoples.
