His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received, in his office this day, the President of the United States Institute of Peace, (USIP), Ms. Nancy Lindborg and her accompanying delegation.

His Excellency Prime Minister reviewed developments in Iraq, internal stability, the unity, cohesion of its social components in light of respect for religious diversity, national, intellectual and democratic pluralistic system, reviewing the vision of the government to establish relations of partnership, cooperation, exchange of interests with all Arab countries and neighboring countries in order to promote opportunities for development and economic prosperity and the exclusion of the region from conflicts and axes.

The President and members of the Institute of Peace expressed their satisfaction with the developments in Iraq and the directions of the government to promote unity, social stability, economic growth and openness to Iraq's Arab, regional and international, expressing readiness to cooperate and partnership to support the efforts of the government and to give the role of civil society organizations and all that strengthens the efforts of security and stability, community reconciliation and democratic life.
