His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received, in his office this day, Senior Defense Adviser to the Middle East, Sir John Lorimer, and his accompanying delegation.

They discussed the development of relations between the two countries, increasing military cooperation in the field of training Iraqi forces, enhancing their capabilities, intelligence efforts, countering terrorism and the remnants of Daesh terrorist's gang.

The British delegation included the military assistance to Defense Adviser Mark Anderson, British Ambassador John Wilkes, and military attaché Brigadier General Rob Jeffries, and attended by the Iraqi side, the chief of staff of the army, Lieutenant General Osman al-Ghanmi and a number of advisers.
