His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received in his office this day, Turkish foreign minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu who delivered to His Excellency a message from The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan included an official invitation to visit Turkey, His Excellency Prime Minister expressed his commend to The Turkish President, his wishes to boost the bilateral and strengthening relations with Iraq in all fields, solving the outstanding issues between the two countries, achieving the aspirations of the People of the two neighboring countries.

His Excellency confirmed that Iraq regaining its health, power, unified its lines and achieved triumph victory against terror and that vital achievement to Iraq, region, and World.

His Excellency added that we don't want to stand in one axis against the other; we want to build a strong excellent balanced collaboration relation with all neighboring countries, we focused on the joined issues and increasing them to overcome the disputes, Turkey is a dear neighboring country and important in the region, we have distinguished relation, and many joining issues, common economic interests, security issues, water, commerce, borders and counter-terrorism, urging to reopen railways from Basra to Turkey into EU.

His Excellency reaffirmed that we don't stand at the commerce level alone but we invite Turkish businessmen and companies to establish factories and economic interests inside Iraq in the fields of industrial, commerce, rebuilding, agriculture investments, which that would be enrooted the cooperation on the two countries and Peoples, reopen markets of the two countries in front of the Iraqi and Turkish products, that would be a strategic plane in the Iraqi – Turkish relation, underscoring that Iraq is promising country, we should have a future joined vision to achieve the interest of two countries and Peoples.

His Excellency Prime Minister urged to solve all the outstanding issues between Iraqi – Turkish government and to sign a direct collaboration agreement concerning water, oil and security, solving the presences of the Turkish troops in the region of Bashika without obtaining the approval of the Iraqi government, confirming to launch new fraternal collaboration phase between two countries and Peoples, and activation the work of the Joint Coordinating Committee.

From his part, the Turkish foreign minister conveyed The Turkish President's greetings, He said that Iraq is an important country for us and we await your visit with great interest, We are pleased with the internal stability, security of Iraq, the removal of concrete blocks and the opening of roads, we see the presence of your office outside the Green Zone is a clear message that your close to the citizens and break the barriers, We are also pleased to improve Iraq's relations with all neighboring countries, Iraq plays an important regional role commensurate with its size, history and location, We appreciate the policy of the Iraqi government to build its foreign relations in a balanced and solid manner and look forward to resolving all outstanding issues between the two countries in a friendly and direct atmosphere.

The Turkish Foreign Minister called on to raise the level of trade exchange; develop roads, railways and cooperation in the fields of confronting terrorist organizations, oil, water and customs issues and opening consulates, The Turkish side is ready to cooperate on supplying Iraq with electricity, to strengthen the communication and partnership between businessmen in both countries and benefit from the Turkish loan announced at the donors conference held in Kuwait.
