His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received, in his office, the CEO of Lukoil Fagit Al-Kabirov, The Company's work was discussed in Iraq and opportunities for increased investment and cooperation.

His Excellency Prime Minister confirmed that Iraq respected its strategic relations with Russia and partnership with Lukoil, we are interested in advancing the Iraqi economy and making progress in the investment process, Pointing to the need for Iraq to build refineries and the provision of oil derivatives and not only to export oil.

CEO of Lukoil Company reviewed the work being done by the company and its investment projects in the field of development of production and extraction in the oil fields and future plans in the light of the need of Iraq, Indicating that the company discovered oil reserves in the area (10) in the province of Muthanna, Stressing the readiness of the company to meet the requirements of the Iraqi oil sector and to provide expertise and training for Iraqi companies.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Energy and Minister of Oil
Thamer Ghadhban.
