His Excellency Prime Minister
Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received in
his office this day, the US
Senate delegation led by
Democratic Senator Tammy
Duckworth.
His Excellency Prime Minister
welcomed the head and members of
the delegation, confirmed that
the sacrifices of Iraqis pushed
the danger out of the region and
the world, we are going to build
a strong independent Iraq, we
have detailed plans and programs
to strengthen the economic
situation, attracting
investment, building
laboratories, creating jobs and
achieving Iraqis aspiration in
the reconstruction,
Clarifying that we are working
on empowering democracy also we
are ensuring to boost the best
relations with the neighboring
countries and the World, adding
that war against Daesh is not
Iraqi war only it is the
Worldwide war because Daesh
danger threatens the entire
World.
Senator Duckworth conveyed
congratulation to His Excellency
Prime Minister
She said: We congratulate you on
the success of the democratic
process and the victory over
Daesh by the sacrifices of
Iraqis, She expressed her
happiness to see Iraq
differently and restore the
cities and the lifting of
barriers from the streets, Iraq
is a large country with history
and depth of civilization and
qualified to take a major role
in the region.
Republican Sen. Johnny Isakson
said that Iraq that is a
long-term strategic partner and
we are concerned about its
security, independence, and
sovereignty.
Independent Se. Angus King said:
We are pleased with your success
and the promotion of democracy
in Iraq; we see in Iraq a great
and united gathering force for
the various visions, it is the
only country capable of carrying
out this role and promoting
dialogue that serves security
and stability in the region.
The delegation includes a member
of the Committee on Foreign
Relations Sen. Johnny Isakson of
Georgia, a member of the
Intelligence Committee of the
Armed Forces Independent Se.
