His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi held with the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Sisi a bilateral meeting, at the Federal Palace in Cairo this day, then an extended meeting attended by both official delegations.

During the meeting, they discussed strengthening mutual bilateral in the economy, increasing the trade exchange for the benefit of the fraternal Peoples, enhancing security and stability in the arena, unifying the efforts to eradicate terrorism which that represents a common enemy.

His Excellency Prime Minister confirmed that his visit to Egypt and mutual cooperation has great hope for the peoples of the region and neighboring countries.

His Excellency expressed his happiness in Egypt's visit and meeting with the President Abdel Fattah Sisi, commended Egypt's leadership and People for their receptions by the Prime Minister, added: we came to Egypt with open hearts for cooperation and overcome the obstacles, increasing the mutual economy collaboration with all our brothers and neighbors, we agreed not to play any pivotal role, enforcing friendship with all, refereeing to that Iraqis defeated terror and we are serious in building their future, we are looking for trilateral summit in the presence of King Abdullah bin Al Hussein to expand the relations of partnership and cooperation.


The President of Egypt Said: "I welcome His Excellency Prime Minister on behalf of all the Egyptians and thank you for choosing Egypt as your first visit that representing great significance of the distinguished and historic relations between our two countries and peoples, The Egyptian president expressed condolences for the sinking of the ferry in Mosul, expressing solidarity with the Iraqi people, praising the achievements of his sons and the liberation of its cities from Daesh, Calling for the completion of Arab and international efforts to combat terrorism and eliminate it and moving forward in building the future of Iraq, He added that the topics of economic cooperation are the priorities of the talks and we are looking forward to increasing the relations on a balanced basis where we share economic interests and support the reconstruction efforts of Iraq and the participation of Egyptian companies.
