His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi and His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in a friendly, frank and understanding atmosphere discussed strengthening bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two peoples and the two neighboring countries, the developments in the region and various issues of mutual interest.

His Excellency Prime Minister confirmed that we are at a stage of solving the problems between Iraq and Kuwait, we have come a long way and we have overcome many outstanding issues, putting hands in hand to build a better future and integration relations, we have many joining issues and opportunities, especially in the areas of construction, reconstruction and services, while delegations and joint committees have made important progress in discussing collaboration files in all fields and we are looking forward to more, Pointing out that the Iraqi government is working hard to serve its people and develop the economy in cooperation with our brothers and neighbors and to remove the danger from our peoples, countries and defuse the crises.

His Excellency Prime Minister added: I congratulate you on the Holy Month and ask Allah to grant us all security, peace, and love. We thank you for your good reception. We also express our sincere appreciation for your wisdom and wise leadership in all circumstances and challenges, We thank Kuwait for hosting the donor conference, We are looking to overcome the past legacy and remove all obstacles, our government is now the government of stability and the government of services and reform and we want to start a fruitful start in our bilateral relations under the direction of Iraq and its openness and stability, Iraq witnesses of the signing of agreements, giant projects with various neighboring countries and friendly countries.

His Excellency pointed out the situation is sensitive and dangerous. We fear that the region will slide into a destructive war. We must cooperate, encourage stability efforts and defuse the war, pointing out that European views coincide with Iraq over the crisis between Iran and America.

His Excellency clarified that Iraq will not enter the policy of axes, alignments, convictions, and accusations; We hope that the upcoming Arab and Islamic conferences will come out with peaceful rhetoric that will serve the stability of the region which has suffered the scourge of war and destruction.

His Highness the Emir of Kuwait said: I welcome you on my behalf, on behalf of the people and the Government of Kuwait, our meeting is a sign of good news and a gesture of cooperation, we are happy with your approaches, the policy of Iraq openness toward its Arab and international region, We and Iraqi are the victims of the regime harmed both peoples and countries, We must continue together exerting the efforts in construction, rebuilding and overcome the remnants of the past.


His Highness the Emir of Kuwait expressed his appreciation for His Excellency Prime Minister's policy of establishing relations with all and for the development and stability of Iraq as a result of His Excellency's strategy. Underscoring Kuwait's readiness to contribute to the reconstruction efforts in Iraqi provinces,



His Highness the Emir of Kuwait added that war is easy matter and would harm everyone if it occurred; we hope that the exerted mediation efforts of many countries will succeed in achieving peace and stability for the benefit of all.

His Highness the Amir expressed his optimism concerning the ongoing talks between the ministers and officials of the two delegations, which that they will result in greater collaboration to serve the interest of the Iraqi and Kuwaiti peoples.
