Formation of a crisis cell to deal with the situation in Nineveh governorate based on the powers granted to us, and because of the exceptional conditions experienced by the province of Nineveh, especially after the painful incident of the sinking ferry which inflected of large numbers of victims, it decides the following.


Firstly: forming a crisis cell linked to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, that consists;

1. Prof. Dr. Mzahim Qasim Al-Khayat / the University of Nineveh President.
2. Ninewa Operations Commander.
3. Ninewa police chief.

The cell shall follow the executive tasks in the province until the Ninewa Council takes its decisions in the light of the ongoing investigations and take the appropriate decision.


Secondly: To expedite the completion of investigations and punish culprits in this painful incident and to make the necessary compensation.

Thirdly: Based on the principle of national solidarity in the period of crisis and rise to the level of responsibility, we call on all political blocs and media outlets to be logic of law and calm and not to be dragged into the atmosphere of escalation and exchange of accusations which that could be harm Nineveh residents and Iraq
