His Excellency Prime Minister
Adil Abd Al-Mahdi confirmed that
developing the Iraq-Saudi
Relation is an urgent need for
us and for the region, helping
us to achieve peace,
development, and prosperity,
after our people suffering from
wars over half a century and
terrorism, they are looking for
returning of normal life to the
era of stability and economic
well-being and better services.
This came during a meeting with
Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime
Minister and Defense Minister
Prince Mohammed Salman.
His Excellency added that we saw
during the visit to the Kingdom
reflects the seriousness and
common desire to develop
relations, the agreements' and
memorandums of understanding
signed is a beginning to open
new horizons to meet the
interests of the Iraqi and Saudi
people.
From his part, the Crown Prince
said that the Kingdom looks at
Iraq with admiration and
respect, its growth and strength
is essential for us, We are
pleased to see Iraq at this
level of stability, we wish for
it to increase its strength and
stability and take the place it
deserves in its Arab and
regional arena, we provide all
Kingdom's capabilities and
experiences in the service of
Iraq and its people, to raise
the level of cooperation in all
fields, We are looking forward
to taking advantage of the
economic potentials and
opportunities available to both
countries.
During the joint meeting, which
included members of the two
delegations they discussed
cooperation in the fields of
providing electricity, water
desalination, housing, oil and
its derivatives, the development
of the agricultural, commercial
sector, irrigation methods,
industries, encourage
investments in tourism, cultural
and sports, in addition to the
possibility of increasing the
share of Iraqis in Hajj
according to the rising
population, reaffirming the
desire to raise the level of
cooperation within the work of
the Coordinating Council between
the two countries.
