His Excellency Prime Minister
Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received a
phone call from British
Secretary of State for Foreign
and Commonwealth Affairs Jeremy
Hunt, in which he affirmed the
support Iraqi government and its
efforts to consolidate security,
stability, strengthening Iraq's
position in the Arab, regional
and international.also renew
congratulation to His Excellency
for being elected as Prime
Minister.
His Excellency Prime Minister
confirmed Iraq's keenness to
develop relations with Britain
and to continue cooperation in
the field of combating
terrorism, achieving stability
and economic prosperity.
His Excellency added that the
Iraqi government puts at the top
of its priorities the openness
to neighboring countries and the
establishment of a network of
relations serving the security,
stability and development of the
peoples of the region, while we
recently received in Baghdad
officials from neighboring
countries, including the Iranian
President and the Saudi Commerce
Minister accompanied by big
delegations, officials and
economic.
Concerning the position about
presence of coalition forces in
Iraq, His Excellency Prime
Minister stressed the
government's appreciation of its
role in combating terrorism and
providing training and advice,
it is in Iraq at the invitation
of the government and move with
its consent and there are no
foreign military bases and there
are no other targets for these
forces only to fight and
encourage the training of Iraqi
forces, Noting that Iraq is a
democratic state with multiple
views and positions on various
issues of interest to the
country.
