His Excellency Prime Minister
Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received in
his official office, this day,
the Minister of Commerce and
Investment of Saudi Arabia Dr.
Majid Al-Qasabi and his
accompanying delegation.
His Excellency expressed his
deep welcome to the President
and members of the Saudi
delegation and thanked for the
Saudi leadership's interest in
developing relations with Iraq.
His Excellency Prime Minister
affirmed that we look forward to
establishing the best relations
with Saudi Arabia in all fields,
we appreciate the common desire
to establish broad relations on
the right bases for the benefit
of the two peoples in the two
fraternal countries, Pointing to
the strategic importance that
Iraq attaches to relations with
the Kingdom and the policy of
openness to neighboring
countries pursued by the Iraqi
government.
His Excellency also affirmed his
intention to further expand
bilaterally and hope for the
joint talks to signing important
agreements during his upcoming
visit to Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi minister conveyed the
greetings of Custodian of the
Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin
Abdulaziz and Crown Prince
Mohammed bin Salman to His
Excellency Prime Minister, the
Saudi leadership's keenness on
security, stability and
prosperity of Iraq and deepening
cooperation relations in all
fields and the desire to see
further bilateral development
and coordination and reach
agreements that serve the common
interests.
During the meeting, they
discussed the preparations for
the Iraqi-Saudi joint committee,
where the Saudi side expressed
its readiness for economic, oil
cooperation, electricity linkage
and participation in
reconstruction efforts in Iraq.
The meeting was attended by the

Affairs Thamer Al-Sabahan, the
Governor of the Saudi
Organization for
Standardization, Metrology, and
Quality, Dr. Saad Al-Qasabi, the
Deputy Minister of Energy,
Industry and Mineral Resources
Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Abdulkarim,
the Kingdom's Ambassador to Iraq
Abdulaziz Al-Shammari and the
Assistant of the Civil Aviation
Aviation Security Authority
Mohammed bin Saad Al-Dawar.
The meeting was also attended by
