His Excellency Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Dr. Haider al-Abadi has chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security.

During the meeting, they have discussed the security situation, maintaining security stability and intelligence efforts, and rely on new plans to pursue terrorist cells. A presentation was made on the security situation in Baghdad and other provinces.

A working paper was also discussed mechanisms, controls, and treatment of cases of tax evasion and customs and raising a number of recommendations and guidance on them.

The subject of the controls of the end-user certificate for the import of arms and the issue of a decision was also discussed.

The memorandum of understanding on the work of the security and protection of aircraft in the Turkish airspace was approved, as well as cooperation with the Libyan side in the field of combating terrorism and providing care for Iraqi citizens present on Libyan territory. New mechanisms have also been approved to facilitate the granting of entry visas to investors in Iraq.
