His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received, Today on Thursday, His Beatitude Louis Raphael Card. SAKO, the Patriarch of Babylon for the Chaldeans, as President-delegate for the Synod of Bishops and his accompanying delegation the from the Council of the Catholic Patriarchs of the East.

During the meeting, they discussed the general situation in the country, the peaceful coexistence among the country's people, and protection of the rights of all citizens, including Christians, help to stabilize and the return of those displaced.

At the beginning of the meeting, the delegation congratulated to His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi on the occasion of formation of the government, underscoring their full support for the government and for the Prime Minister to lead the country and to achieve prosperity for its people.

His Excellency Prime Minister welcomed the guest delegation, confirming that Christians are a component and an authentic identity in Iraqi society, reaffirming working together to promote the concept of citizenship.

His Excellency added that recognizing the other is one of the basic principles of the definition of society and what we are doing is a duty, not a boon, our door is open to hear everything they want.
