His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has received, Today on Monday, a telephone call from Vice President of the United States Mike Pence.
During the call, they have discussed strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries and the situation in the region as well as the political and security situation.
Mr. Pence has commended the Iraqi government efforts for pursuing Daesh's terrorists' gangs and eradicating them, noting that the United States of America is committed to supporting Iraq, which has achieved a great victory over Daesh's terrorist's gangs and liberating its lands.
Mr. Pence has stressed that his country will continue in supporting Iraq in the construction and rebuilding phase, praising the efforts of the Iraqi government to return the displaced, preserving the minorities and return them to their areas.
Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has said that the Iraqi government and our heroic forces continue to pursue the terrorist's cells and pockets to eliminate them.
His Excellency has added that Iraq's priority is to maintain the achievements achieved in the field of security, the development, economic reform, services, and construction and rebuilding provide employment opportunities, and this is what we are working on with the importance of forming a strong government to provide services and to meet the aspirations of the citizen.
