His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has assured on The impartiality and professionalism of the armed forces must be maintained and the influence of the parties should be kept away from them, Stressing that citizen currently has great confidence and respect for the security forces, which came as a result of huge sacrifices and professional dealings.
This came during a lecture delivered by his Excellency at the Defense University for Military Studies / National Defense College titled "The Role of the Executive Authority in the Reconstruction and Management of the State".
Dr. Al-Abadi has expressed his appreciation and pride in the university's status and the importance of adopting the scientific side in all fields.
His Excellency has added that the military establishment is based on the interest and protection of citizens, indicating that the country has been subjected to a great challenge and its existence, they wanted to tear it up but we have faced this challenge and we have won by unity of our people.
Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has said that the military establishment has succeeded in its war against Daesh and in gaining the confidence of the citizen who began to feel that this institution was to serve and protect the people. For that most of the information about terrorist's gangs came from citizens.
His Excellency has pointed out that the next challenge is economic and how to properly manage financial resources to provide the best services, stimulate the economy and provide jobs, This needs security, which is one of the fundamentals to stimulate the economy.
His Excellency has pointed to the importance of respect for human rights by the security forces, despite the pressures on them and how to deal between citizens and troops at checkpoints, protection of citizens is the basis, in addition to the importance of respect for law by citizens.
Dr. Haider al-Abadi has said there is no corruption allowed and corruption is not allowed and we all have to stand against it.
His Excellency has stressed on the guns control and should be limited to the state, noting that there are groups that used the war against Daesh as a pretext to store weapons to threaten the state and be stronger than it, they are extorting citizens. This is not going to be allowed and there are high planning and wisdom to stand up to them and limit this weapon, Pointing out that there are citizens who have a weapon in order to defend themselves in a time ago and these differ from those groups, Adding that there would be no weapons outside the state.
He has stressed that the regional situation of Iraq has improved now and turned from that everyone against it and now everyone wants relations with him.
