His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received a call from U.S. Secretary of States Michael R. Pompeo, The U.S. Secretary explained to His Excellency the American withdrawal from Syria, confirmed that the United States of America committed in its obligation in the fight against Daesh in Iraq and the rest of the places, commended Iraqi people unity in all its components, the governmental exerted efforts to secure Iraq, prohibiting from interference in its affairs and complete the cabinet.


His Excellency Prime Minister reviewed the nature of the positive developments taking place in the country and seeking to complete the cabinet, which is expected to achieve further progress during the coming week.

His Excellency confirmed that the development of security in Syria and reaching a political settlement is directly related to Iraqi security and stability in the region, pointing out that the Iraqis are the keenest to consolidate national unity, defending their country sovereignty and preventing interference in their internal affairs. His Excellency also commended the right decision to extend Iranian electricity purchase deadline for 90 days.

Agreeing to deal with those issues via strengthening the bilateral between the two countries on the basis of common interests, His Excellency Prime Minister reaffirmed that all these and other matters will be the subject of in-depth research in the upcoming meetings between the two parties, and blessed for all Merry Christmas and New Year.
