His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi has received the Siemens Company delegation, the Company CEO, Board members, German deputy minister and the German consul in Baghdad have attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Siemens has reviewed plans to provide electricity, future needs of the country, provide support to Iraq in this area and the use of advanced technologies.

Siemens did earlier sign a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Electricity for a roadmap to solve the electricity problem in Iraq, which has been in operation for more than two years.
