H.E. Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi directs Civil Crisis Cell to handle Nineveh's flood

His Excellency Prime Minister
Adil Abd Al-Mahdi directed Civil
Crisis Cell, governors and
State's Directorates to take the
necessary immediate decisions
and follow-up on the field to
reduce the damage of the floods
that hit a number of our
provinces, especially Mosul,
which caused to cut a number of
bridges towards Tal Afar and
Al-Silahiat and the destruction
of Al-Zanazil village.
His Excellency confirmed in his
continuous communications that
the first priority is to protect
the lives of citizens and then
preserve public and private
property.
The field teams confirmed that
there was no lives loss and that
the measures are continuing to
reduce the material damage,
especially in Hammam al-Alil's
IDPs Camp NO 2, in the location
17 sectors were exposed to
flooding, destroying 340 tents
and citizens evacuated to safe
places.
His Excellency assigned the
Crisis Cell to estimate the
damage and submit an urgent
report in order to take decision
and provide urgent assistance.
