His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi has received, today on Thursday Jordanian foreign minister Ayman Safadi.

During the meeting, they have discussed enhancing bilateral relations in the sectors of trade, investment, security, energy and industry, discussing the situation in the region.

Safadi has conveyed the congratulations of His Majesty King Abd Allah II to the Prime Minister on the occasion of the formation of the Iraqi government, stressing the keenness of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on distinguished relations with Iraq and joint action in all sectors.

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi has expressed his thanks for the congratulations, noting that Iraq and Jordan are partners in a number of areas, stressing Iraq's keenness to overcome red tape and bureaucracy to promote joint action to overcome obstacles and outstanding issues.

His Excellency Prime Minister has pointed out that Iraq needs rapid development and reconstruction after the destruction caused by war and terrorism, stressing Iraq's ability to rise again and possess the human and material capabilities that enable him to rise.

His Excellency has pointed out that joint security between countries and all that is going on in Iraq, Syria, Jordan and other countries will be affected by everyone, so joint action should be done to get rid of the danger of Daesh's gangs and continuing security cooperation to pursue its terrorist cells.

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi has said that the government's platform depends on strengthening relations, good neighborliness, interests and joint action, in addition to developing the economy, development, investment, provision of services and job opportunities.
