þThe Government of Iraq acts according to the Federal Constitution of Iraq, and is taking the necessary measures to impose federal jurisdiction in all areas to safeguard Iraq’s unity and integrity.
þThe Government of Iraq renews its call to all parties to abide by the Constitution.
þIt further calls on all parties to comply with the decisions of Iraq’s Federal Supreme Court, including today’s ruling which affirms that there is no constitutional basis for any attempts at secession, and which mandates federal authorities to take measures to protect Iraq’s unity.
þAll measures taken by the Government of Iraq fall within its remit as mandated by the Constitution, and are compliant with Iraq’s Federal Supreme Court rulings.
þThe Government of Iraq urges authorities in Iraq’s Kurdistan region to affirm their commitment to upholding the Constitution and to comply with the rulings of Iraq’s Federal Supreme Court.
