His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has chaired the 3rd session of the Supreme Council for Population with the participation of a number of the concerned ministers.
His Excellency has pointed out that we are in a new phase after the eliminating Daesh militarily, and we have to give hope to citizen through achieving work and considering their need as priorities and not stop at the numerical statistics only. We have to work on sustainable development and humanitarian, creating a good environment for the citizen.

His Excellency has also referred to the government's priorities in returning the IDP's and let them feel that their return to their homes and cities is better than staying in the camps.

Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has listened to the remarks of the ministers and briefed on the national document on population policies prepared by the supervising committee to draw a promising population policy in Iraq over the coming years.
