His Excellency Prime Minister, the Supreme Commander of the Armed forces, Dr.Haider Al-Abadi has chaired Ministerial council for the National Security.
During the meeting, they discussed the developments of the military operations and the clearance of the Al-Jazeera area and the upper of the Euphrates to the Syrian border, which are vast desert areas where our heroic forces carry out these operations and achieve their objectives.
The council commended the efforts of the security forces, which contributed to securing the Al-Arbaeen gathering visit of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, despite the great terrorist threats.
Armaments contracts for the armed forces and counter-terrorism services with weapons and military equipment, as well as the Ministry of the Interior supplying military wheels, have been discussed.
The Council discussed a number of issues and issued a series of decisions and directives regarding the security situation in the country.
