Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, received in his office on Friday the Speaker of the Council of Representatives Dr. Salim al-Jubouri.

During the meeting they congratulated the victories of our heroic forces against Daesh terrorist gangs in Ramadi, and the importance of sustaining momentum and unity of positions and the efforts of the political blocs to support our troops to liberate every inch of the land of Iraq and work to return families to areas that have been liberated.

Also discussed was the situation in the region and dealing with the repercussions of the current regional situation wisely and responsibly and rationally, and in order to preserve Iraq's security and stability and supreme interests and the security and the unity of its people.

They emphasised on the continued cooperation between the executive and the legislature to enact laws that serve the citizen and the importance of working to face the political, security, economic and financial challenges in the country and moving away from the political one-upmanship that causes confusion to the citizen, and also emphasised the importance of the fight against financial and administrative corruption.
