Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received in his office on Thursday the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting they discussed the war on Daesh terrorist gangs and victories achieved in Ramadi, and the training and equipping of Iraqi forces, and the situation in the region.

Gen. Dunford congratulated Dr. Al-Abadi on the victories achieved in Ramadi, which restored the confidence in the Iraqi military's capabilities to achieve victories, noting that the United States confirms its support for Iraq in the areas of training and arming, and Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

For his part Dr. Al-Abadi reiterated that our heroic forces continue to achieve victories over the terrorist gangs and to liberate territory and we are working to restore life to the liberated areas.
