Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received a telephone call from US President Mr. Barack Obama on Wednesday.

The US President congratulated Dr. Al-Abadi and the Iraqi people on the victories achieved by the Iraqi forces against Daesh terrorist gangs in Ramadi and other areas.

He reiterated his country's support for Iraq in its war against terrorism and to provide all kinds of support needed in air support and arming and training in addition to helping Iraq's efforts to the challenges arising from the decline in oil prices, and the importance of the steadfastness of Iraq against these challenges, valuing the balanced positions of Iraq and its pivotal role to ease regional tensions and to prevent an increase in sectarian polarization in the region, stressing that the United States stands with the sovereignty and integrity of the Iraqi territories.

Dr. Al-Abadi stressed that the recent victories confirmed the high morale and great capability of our heroic forces to restore all our lands and the liberation of every inch of the land of Iraq.
