Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi met on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos the US Vice President Mr. Joe Biden.

During the meeting they discussed the political and security situation in Iraq and the region, and the economic and financial challenges, and the victories achieved against Daesh gangs, and reconstruction of liberated areas, and the importance of national cohesion between the components of Iraq, and support for reforms, in addition to helping Iraq in the field of generation of electricity.

VP Biden reiterated his country's full support for Iraq in its war against terrorism and Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
