Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi participated in a special gathering of the leaders of the global economy in an interactive session on Middle East stability.
Among what was addressed were the Iraqi victories against Daesh terrorism, especially the liberation of Ramadi with Iraqi capabilities, and the campaign for the liberation of Mosul this year and the elimination of Daesh in Iraq.
Also mentioned were the regional differences and polarisations which adversely affect the efforts to combat Daesh and the issue of refugees and people displaced by the war against Daesh and progress of the political process in Syria and that there exists no substitute for it for the stability of the country.
Also discussed was Iran's nuclear deal with the West, which proved that the negotiations were in the interests of all parties, rather than war and confrontation.
Emphasis was placed on the need to build trust between states in order to confront terrorism and military backing of the countries that have fought it with conviction and that it has become a big problem in Europe, and gave a strong impetus to the nationalist groups and extremist parties in Europe which represents a danger.
