Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi met on Thursday, Mr. Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, Minister of Industry, Trade and Mines of Iran, and his accompanying delegation.

They discussed ways to promote cooperation in the industrial, economic and commercial fields between the two countries and uphold the private sector besides addressing the financial and economic challenges after the collapse of oil prices.

Dr. al-Abadi said: "The government has plans and strategies for the advancement of the industrial sector of Iraq and has already started them in an intention to upgrade the Iraqi industry in various fields."
