Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi held a meeting on Tuesday with MPs and members of the provincial council in Basra in the presence of the governor and provincial council chairman.

During the meeting they discussed the situation in the province in various sectors and the services provided to the people of the province and the problems and obstacles that stand in front of some of the projects.

Dr. Al-Abadi called for more efforts to serve the citizen in Basra who deserves to receive the best services.

He pointed to the importance of control of security in the province and to prevent anything that would contribute to destabilising security in the province and unsettling citizens of Basra.
