Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Dr. Haider Al-Abadi chaired on Sunday a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security.

During the meeting there was a discussion on sustaining the momentum of victories achieved in Ramadi and the return of large areas of territory and emphasis on continuing to liberate every patch of the land of the country. There was also a discussion on investment budgets for the security ministries and the signing of memoranda of understanding for security with a number of countries, and a number of topics on the agenda, in addition to following up on decisions and directives issued in the previous meetings.
