The Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received a telephone call from the Vice President of the United States of America, Mr. Joe Biden.

During the telephone call they discussed developments in the war against Daesh and victories achieved, and the political and security situation in Iraq and the region, and the packages of reforms carried out by the Prime Minister, in addition to the training and equipping of Iraqi security forces.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the battle for reforms is ongoing and there is no backing away from that, and that the battle with Daesh gangs is making progress and we are determined to achieve victories for the liberation of the land of Iraq, noting the many challenges facing the country, and we have plans and strategies to address them, which requires the cooperation of everyone to overcome them.

In turn, VP Biden praised the reforms carried out by Dr. Al-Abadi and his support, especially with regard to the economy, in addition to the continuation of the United States of America’s support to Iraq in its war against the terrorist gangs.
