Prime Minister, Dr. Haider al-Abadi, received on Thursday Mr. Brett H. McGurk, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of the United States of America.

They commended victories achieved on Daesh and discussed training and arming of the Iraqi security forces, stabilization of the displaced, economic challenges and the updates on the political and security situations in Iraq and the region.

Mr. McGurk praised government's effort in the stabilization of people in Salahuddin and other areas and the reconstruction of the liberated areas, confirming continuous support of the International community to the government of Iraq and the security forces in the fight against the criminal Daesh gangs.
