The Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi held a meeting attended by the Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives and heads of parliamentary blocs and a number of members of the House of Representatives, and gave a detailed explanation of the overall reforms and their importance in building the state and society, and what security and economic challenges the country faces.

The PM said that reforms are needed to achieve the approach to justice and the fight against corruption and the corrupt, and waste of public funds, and reduce the gap between the official and the citizen, stressing his commitment to the implementation of reforms in accordance with the law and the Constitution and without any exception or partisan or sectarian discrimination.

The Prime Minister added that responding to the demands of citizens and the reform of our political system is necessary, expressing his satisfaction with the good relationship between protesters and security forces during the demonstrations, and praised its success in the protection of the demonstrators in spite of the state of war against terrorism and security challenges facing the country, calling on everyone to cooperate to the implementation of reforms in the economic and financial field and create jobs.
