The Council of Ministers held its thirty-fifth regular session on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi.

The Council of Ministers decided to reduce the salaries and pensions for the three presidencies, ministers, under-secretaries and similar rank holders, advisors, and directors general, and repeal under this resolution all special decrees on salaries and pensions for the three presidencies, ministers, under-secretaries, and directors general, and apply to them the general laws for state employees without exception.

A choice is given to directors general and deputy ministers and those with special grades who are paid allowances granted under special decrees between the receipt of the funds provided under those laws or the benefits granted under this resolution, and no right is given to them to combine these allocations.

The Council also decided to approve the formation of the Federal Public Service Board.
