H.E. PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi participated in the funeral ceremonies of Ayatullah Sheikh Mohammed Mahdi Al-Asifi in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf. H.E. expressed his condolences on this occasion asking Al-Mighty to bless the late with mercy and his family and followers with patience.
Dr. Al-Abadi said that the jihadist career of the late Al-Asifi will remain in the memory of generations as he left scholastic heritage and awareness in different areas of jihad in which he fought dictator regimes, spread knowledge, and taught generations during all of his life.
