H.E. PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi received the Vice President of the World Bank Mr. Hafez Ghanim and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed the economic and financial conditions in Iraq and the support of reconstructing the liberated areas and the other provinces in addition to discussing the future programs of the Bank in Iraq and cooperation in many fields.

H.E. welcomed the guest delegation referring that "Iraq is facing many challenges including the economic and financial situation and we want to make use of the financial crisis to build an appropriate economy which depends on a long term strategic vision".
H.E. asked the World Bank to work with the provinces, especially Basra, in order to develop and reconstruct them.
On his part, Mr. Ghanim expressed the willingness of the Bank to cooperate with Iraq in training fields of different specialties, supporting private sector and reconstructing the liberated areas from Da'esh.
