Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi met on the sidelines of meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Mr. Joe Biden, Vice President of the United States.

During the meeting they emphasised the continued support for Iraq in the areas of armament, training and advice, as well as supporting efforts to address the consequences of falling oil prices by diversifying the sources of income and increasing exports and building the capabilities needed for the success of the reforms.

They also discussed developments on the battlefield in the fight against Daesh terrorist gangs.
