Prime Minister, Dr. Haider al-Abadi received on Monday the French Ambassador in Baghdad, Mr. Marc Barety.

They discussed means to promote bilateral relations and cooperation in the security and intelligence areas in addition to developing joint effort to prevent flow of terrorists as well as training of the Iraqi security forces.

Mr. Barety extended gratitude of the French president Mr. Francois Hollande to Dr. al-Abadi for the condolences his Excellency presented on the terrorist attack that took place in France last Friday, noting that Daesh is attempting to pass a wrong message about Muslims in Europe and France, confirming that France seeks to cooperate with Iraq in the security and intelligence areas to eradicate Daesh gangs.
