The Prime Minister, Dr. Haider Al-Abadi said the reforms voted on by the Council of Ministers and the Council of Representatives are constitutional and legal I will not back away from them, pointing out that our conflict with Daesh is existential, and our heroic fighters need support because they are the point of origin in the battle.
During a meeting with a number of media and cultural figures and analysts in the presence of a number of MPs and politicians, he stressed that there was no turning back from reforms and that the political system needed public pressure to improve its performance and accelerate the process of reforms, noting that the first step in the strategy of reform was represented in an efficiency drive in the ministries and that was a blow to the very core the system of quotas.
The Prime Minister said the financial situation and the drop in oil prices has caused difficulties for us, but there are measures taken to control the effects of this decline through the revitalization of the private sector and the allocation of the amount of five trillion dinars to stimulate the industry, agriculture and housing sectors, and Iraq in the coming years is expected to be in the top twenty highest growth countries.
Dr. Haider Abadi said I will not relinquish the interests of my countrymen one iota and that we are heading in the right direction to build a state.
