Prime Minister, Dr. Haider al-Abadi met on Wednesday a delegation from British Petroleum, the oil company, confirming that the oil production and export are gradually escalating and the reservoir capacity has been improved, adding that continuation of cooperation among oil companies and the ministry of oil will enhance efforts in the oil fields.

His Excellency confirmed keenness of the Iraqi government to meet its financial commitments toward oil companies and secure good working conditions for them, stressing on exerting further efforts to maintain useful control on the gas and reduce burning of the associated gas as it is considered part of our national resources.

BP delegation commended Iraqi government's commitment and cooperation in securing an operational environment appropriate with the keenness to advance the oil sector, confirming eagerness from BP's part to execute the projects agreed upon.
