H.E. PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi called for all political blocks to avoid involving our military forces in the political conflicts.
H.E. mentioned in the ceremony held on the occasion of receiving the first shipment of F16 fighter jets, that : "while the dawn of victories is shining at the hands of the military forces, police, public mobilization and tribes, we celebrate today on receiving the F16 fighter jets which will contribute in defeating the enemy and liberating every inch of Iraq".
H.E. added: Since victories are being achieved we notice that the coward enemy is attacking the unarmed civilians like what happened in Khan beni Sa'ad where tens of civilian victims have been killed. However, with the help of our intelligence efforts, we were able to capture some of the perpetrators, and those terrorists will not escape punishment as this cowardly act will only increase our determination to defeat the enemy".
"The challenges we are facing face are huge and they require unifying our stands to support our security forces. We call for the international community for more support to Iraq". H.E. also emphasized on preventing the influx of terrorists and stop smuggling oil and antiquities.
