The Office of the Prime Minister confirms that the executive orders issued within the reforms package orders the withdrawal of all battalions protecting officials without exception or discrimination, and restructuring them and their command relationships, so that they are not linked at all to then officials nor the task of protecting them personally, but to carry out their national duties within the security system of the Iraqi forces to protect the country and its citizens.

We also emphasize the commitment to the significant reductions to protection details for officials, in some cases up to 90%, on the executive orders, and no retreat from that at all, although some are using misinformation to try to disrupt the reforms, which will only increase the resolve and determination to proceed in this way to the end.
