PM Al-Abadi Makes a Phone Call with Turkish Designate Prime Minister

H.E. PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi made a phone call today with the Turkish designate Prime Minister Mr. Ahmed Davut Oglu.

The two sides discussed promoting bilateral relations between the two countries, the political and security conditions in Iraq and the region and the victories against Da'esh in addition to the Turkish elections and forming the government.

Dr. Al-Abadi congratulated Mr. Oglu on the occasion of holding the national elections wishing him success in forming the new Turkish government.

Dr. Al-Abadi also referred to the importance of promoting relations with Turkey in the trade and economic fields besides security which includes protecting boarders. The phone call emphasized that the sectarian agitation by Da'esh in Syria will be reflected on Iraq and Turkey and all the region referring that the Iraqi forces are determined to liberate every inch of Iraq.

On his part, Mr. Oglu expressed the readiness of his government to cooperate with Iraq on the security and intelligences levels to fight Da'esh in addition to developing its relations in different fields.
