Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi said that Safety of Basrah is vital to us and Security is an integral system that cannot be divided, showing support to Basrah province and its citizens as they deserve the best to enhance their sectors as a whole.
PM stated during a meeting with the provincial council members in a visit to Basrah on Tuesday that Iraq faces many challenges, among which is the fight against Daesh, thus we should not give this terrorist gang the chance to rejoice as a result of our conflicts and disputes, however, we succeeded to achieve victories and warned the neighboring countries from this threat and now they started to realize the magnitude of this danger post terrorist attacks in their countries so our disputes must not impact the interest of our homeland.
His Excellency noted that the technocrat must have an access to assume senior position and no one has the right to allocate such positions according to quotas, adding that meeting demands of our people is a source of pride.
Dr. al-Abadi stated that we have a strategy to combat the multifaceted corruption while some determined to advantage from the collapse of the political process, our people however are aware of such intentions.
H.E. affirmed the resolve to realize reforms and combat corruption despite those who attempt to hinder these efforts because they are linked to foreign agendas.
