H.E. PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi chaired the meeting of the high committee for coordination among non-regionally administrated provinces which was attended by some ministers, governors and chairmen of council of provinces. The meeting discussed a number of aspects related to public policies of the eight related ministries and the authorities of provinces.
H.E. said that: we are fighting an honorable war to liberate our cities and defend Iraq where people are participating with the army, police, public mobilization, Peshmarka and tribes. H.E. asserted that Da'esh cannot continue controlling the occupied lands in front of the determination of Iraqis. H.E. called for uniting all efforts to dispel the enemy from the occupied areas.
Dr .Al-Abadi emphasized to work as a one team for the high interest of the country, asserting to move toward non-central government by giving local governments more powers. H.E. referred to the efforts of the federal and local governments to face the security and economic challenges in addition to reconstruction and providing services. The PM also directed to activate investment and create job opportunities in the provinces.
