H.E. PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi met with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Sayyed Ali Al-Khamenei.
H.E. said during this meeting that: our visit to Iran comes as a reconfirmation of the deep relations between Iraq and Iran, referring that Iran's support is essential to Iraq's war against Da'esh which tries to spread strife among Muslims, affirming that Iraq has the power and will which enable it to defeat terrorism and that all Iraqi components stand united to face terrorism. Dr. Al-Abadi added that Iraq is fighting today on behalf of many countries in the world.
On his part, the Supreme Leader of Iran emphasized his support to Dr. Al-Abadi and the Iraqi people clarifying that Iraq is confronting terrorism which not only threatens Iraq but the whole region.
