H.E. PM Dr. Haider Al-Abadi met with the 1st Iranian Deputy President Mr. Eshaq Jehangiri in Tehran. The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries in different fields and the terrorist threat posed on the region.
H.E. emphasized on developing the relations between the two countries in the political, economic and security fields as Iraq seeks to have comprehensive relations with Iran and all countries of the region to form a unified front against terrorism which threatens the world.
On his part, Mr. Jahangiri welcomed Dr. Al-Abadi and affirmed the support of Iran to the Iraqi government and promoting relations between the two countries especially at this stage where Iraq faces many challenges.
